The name “Rainbow Moonstone” was coined by the lapidary and mineral communities to describe this stone, even though it's not an Orthoclase (Moonstone). Rainbow Moonstone deposits can be found in Sri Lanka, Australia, Mexico, Madagascar, Poland, and India.
